Hi friends! It’s been so long since we’ve blogged! The store has been busy, and we celebrated
Catherine’s one-year, Monkee owner anniversary! Our Resort, Spring, and Summer
was chaotic, but very fun! We helped find the perfect Easter dresses, found some new brands to carry in the store, and welcomed a few new fashion consultants to our lineup! You'll get to meet everyone in our "Meet the Monkee's post" - coming soon! We are back to blogging now, and with perfectly
fashionable timing. We are excited for fall, and we can’t wait to see what
y’all are doing with this crisp weather.
At the store, we are just dying over the
equestrian-perfected look. It’s a mix of rugged and polished. Like you just got
done riding through the wilderness, but have no trace of mud or wilderness on
your outfit, of course. We love chunky sweaters, our new Barbour vests, and of
course, a great riding boot. Outdoorsy and feminine is a match made in heaven,
if you ask us!
Other things we love? Leopard! I can’t remember who, but somebody said “as far as I’m concerned, leopard is a neutral.” Amen, y’all! I personally love leopard mixed with other tans, browns, and blacks. But you could easily cross-print with stripes, or throw a pop of color in there. Leopard is bold, and it’s back!
There are so many other fabulous fall trends this year: leather details, faux fur vests, and the coveted spirit jersey, just to name a few! We are still fawning over glamorous jewelry and statement pieces, whether you’re rocking a bold pair of earrings or a well-stacked arm party, jewelry can really make an outfit.
In other news, some of our plans for the fall include pumpkin picking, celebrating Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg, and some pretty competitive collegiate football games!
